Kazan International Linguistic Summit “Contemporary linguistics: theory and practice” (KILS-2022) will be held in the Kazan Federal University in cooperation with the Institute of Linguistics of RAS.
Materials (articles) submitted by participants as a part of the registration process on the Summit website will be published in the Summit materials collection (electronic edition). It is also possible to participate without presenting a report and submitting an article.
Requirements for articles:
The header of the article should be arranged as follows (all points are obligatory):

- The title of the report (lowercase bold letters, centre alignment)
- Name, patronymic, surname of the author(s) (without abbreviations, centre alignment)
- The name of your organization (no abbreviations, centre alignment)
- Key words and phrases (no more than six)
- UDC (Universal Decimal Classification)

Materials from two to four pages are sent in electronic form:

- File type – Word document;
- Font – Times New Roman, size – 14 pt,
- Line spacing – single, margins – 2.5 cm on all sides,
- Paragraph indentation – 1 cm,
- Alignment – justified,
- Text without hard hyphenation and without compression
- Language of publications: Russian, English, German.

Italics and bold are used for text highlights. Underlining, capitalization and spacing are to be avoided. All definitions are to be enclosed in quotation marks (‘ ’).
A non-breaking space is used in the following positions:
a) between the initials and the surname (N.I.Bogdanov);
b) in combinations of a numeral and a noun (XXI century);
c) in enumerations (lists) after a digit or letter with a dot or parenthesis [1). Text, 1) text, A. Text, a) text].
Spaces are not allowed after the opening parenthesis and before the closing parenthesis.
In places where cited text is abbreviated, the triple hyphen — is used
Illustrations are submitted in one of the common formats (jpg., tiff).
References are given in the text in square brackets and include the author’s surname (or the first word in the book title), publication year, volume / issue / part number (after the comma) and page number (after the colon); see, for example: [Baudouin 1963, 1: 53; Bogoroditsky 1935: 122; Russian 2016: 36].
References (under the heading “Literature”) are located one line after the main text. Publications are described in accordance with the requirements of GOST and are listed alphabetically in an unordered list. At the beginning there are works for which the description is given in Cyrillic, then in Latin and other fonts. If the list contains several works by the same author, then they should be arranged in chronological order.
Notes (not references to literature) are formatted as usual footnotes at the end of the page (footnotes are automatic, numbered; the numbering begins on each page). If possible, annotations are to be avoided.
Fonts with characters that are not in Times New Roman are uploaded in a separate file along with the article on the conference website. In case of using other fonts in the text (apart from Times New Roman), an electronic copy of the article text in pdf format must be sent to the Organizing Committee (kfu-kils@mail.ru).
Articles can be submitted in Russian, English or Tatar. All submitted articles are checked in the “Antiplagiat.ru” system for plagiarism. The originality of the text must be at least 80%.
The organizing committee reserves the right to select and edit the submitted materials, return them to the author for revision.
At the end of the Summit, each registered participant will receive an electronic certificate of Summit participation.

Within the framework of Kazan International Linguistic Summit "MODERN LINGUISTICS: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE" (KILS-2022) a symposium "Evolutionary Trends in Teaching and Learning Languages: Perspectives and Concerns" organized by the Department of Language and Intercultural Communication of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University was held on November 15, 2022.

The participants of the symposium or rather the active listeners of the symposium were bachelors and MA students – future teachers of foreign languages.

Sofia Shafigullina, a student in the Master's program "Teaching English in secondary and higher schools": "A great event! Everything was very interesting. Will such events be organized in the future? I don't want to miss any!"
Igor Burmistrov, a student in the Master's program "Teaching English in secondary and higher schools": "I liked everything very much. I am planning to listen to some more reports tomorrow."
We are not surprised by such answers: the diversity of the topics the speakers from different countries have offered attracts attention and arouses interest. Moreover, the fact that most of the reports have been presented today in the English language doubles this interest.
We congratulate all the participants – speakers and listeners – on the successful holding of the symposium and, of course, we look forward to new scientific events which, for sure, await us!
